Varanasi, is also known as the Kashi or Banaras. It is Located on the bank of the Gangs River in Uttarpradesh India. Varanasi is the Spiritual city of India and one of the oldest living cities in the world. Varanasi is famous for the ghats because there are 88 ghats in Varanasi. People came here for spiritual and religious important and hindu belive that if we are dying in varansi or cremated on the bank of river ganga we are free from the cycle of rebirth.

Dashashwamedh Ghat
Dashashwamedh Ghat is situated on the bank of the Ganga River in Varanasi near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Name of the ghat Dashashwamedh translate to ” Ten Horse sacrifices ” to welcome the Lord Shiva to Earth. At evening time, Ganga Aarti is done there.

Manikarnika Ghat
The Manikarnika Ghat is the Oldest ghats of Varanasi is situated on the bank of the River Ganga. The fire at Manikarnika were burn 24/7. It estimated that at about 100 bodies are burn every day. It belive that if we are cremated on Manikarnika Ghat, so we are free from the cycle of rebirth.

Harishchandra Ghat
The Harishchandra Ghat is located on the bank of River Ganga and it is the Oldest ghats of Varanasi. The fire at Harishchandra were burn 24/7. Assi Ghat is located on the bank of the Assi River, The ghat is associated with several hindu scripture who are mention in puranas. People do boat rides, watching sunrise and evening aarties.
